The Macbook display router issue could be bothering various users and according to details, the LG Macbook display becomes unstable and unusable when it is near a Wi-Fi router. LG has confirmed the problem and advised users to keep their screens at least two meters away from a wireless router.
However, later on the distance was modified. The representatives clarified that users can place their screens at a distance of two feet and it would work without any interference. Customers who continue to experience issues with their device should contact the customer service center for prompt resolution.
While the problem may not seem so big at first glance, it does appear to be a cause of concern given the fact that most modern day households place all their computer paraphernalia at one place. The Tech Portal confirms that LG engineers have already started work on resolving the problem.
However, the users may not be too satisfied. Since LG does not offer much solace to those who have already bought the screens. They are asking the users to simply keep the screen at a distance from the router.
Ideally displays are supposed to be packed with a special type of shielding that can help cut out all the unwanted radio frequency. The lack of proper shielding leads to the internal wiring acting as receivers. This interference leads to the generation of additional voltages which in turn adversely affect the hardware performance of the display. The current crop of 27MD5K displays is facing this issue.
LG spokesperson has confirmed to Recode that a new design is on its way and that they are adding more shielding. The LG monitor was announced last year in October signaling Apple would no longer hold monopoly over the production.
LG has further apologized to fans and may even add the extra shielding to the existing devices to improve the user experience. Additionally, LG has extended the discount offered on the 27MD5K displays till the end of March next year.
