"My Hero Academia" is one of the increasingly popular manga and anime's today and it's set for 2nd season soon. While it will cover familiar story arcs following the first season, it is possible that the season will extend to the dramatic and pivotal portion of the manga series.
Anime Series Season 2 Announcement
According to Anime News Network, season 2 of "My Hero Academia" returns this March. However, fans who have been following the series since its first air date will be greeted with something familiar. The March lone episode will serve as a recap on what has happened in the past.
The first episode of the anime series with brand new content will start in April and according to Crunchyroll, the anime series will follow the timeline of the manga since the first episode will immediately jump to the Sports Festival Arc. As the name suggests, the arc is practically a sporting event for the would-be heroes and Izuku will be showcasing his quirk for everyone to see.
Single Arc Episodes for Season 2
While it's great news that season 2 of "My Hero Academia" returns for superhero action, it is possible that the series will only cover a limited number of stories. Specifically, the upcoming series will only cover one story arc.
Last season, the popular anime series only has 13 episodes that covered 21 chapters in the manga. The second season will most likely feature the same number of episodes because the Sports Festival Arc ran for 23 chapters in the manga version.
It would have been interesting if the series continues to cover more story arcs. Although they already faced formidable challenge against an actual villain, the later chapters in the manga series is a lot more interesting as the villains' intentions and plans have become more sinister.
