The current intolerance debate, which has gained maximum proportions, has brought A-list celebrities like Aamir Khan and Karan Johar under fire. The "3 Idiots" director Rajkumar Hirani also recently admitted to being careful with his words. He has also confirmed "3 Idiots" sequel which will again star Khan.

Hirani is amongst the top most directors of Bollywood today. All of his movies have strike gold at the box office, be it his directorial debut "Munnabhai MBBS" or his recent drama feature film "PK." All of the films have done exceptionally well, as his movies border on the serious note, where he highlights grim issues in a comical way; however, Hirani says that he is now watching his words more than he did previously.

In interview with The Hindu, Hirani said that he has become more careful about what he speaks in public, lest it gets misinterpreted and misquoted. He also said that social media today is quick to give knee-jerk reactions to every action, and that has threatened the freedom of speech to greater levels in the country.

Hirani's latest venture "PK" highlighted the issue of godmen in the country, which despite being appreciated by audiences across all religions, received quite a lot of flak for its sensitive topics. Hirani said that due to the way their words are misinterpreted, celebrities are now being more cautious and watchful of their words.

Meanwhile, Hirani's "3 idiots," which had gone on to break several major records, will have a sequel soon. At the recent screening of his joint production venture with R Madhavan "Saala Khadoos," Hirani confirmed that he is in the process of writing a sequel to the blockbuster movie.

According to Hindustan Times, Khan, who was also present as one of the guests at the special screening of the movie, addresed the media that Hirani had dropped subtle hints about doing "3 Idiots" sequel, and it may happen as and when the script is ready.

Khan and Hirani worked together for another blockbuster "PK," where Khan essayed the role of an alien on the lookout for God on earth.
