Looks like Nam Joo Hyuk is an NBA fan. The actor was recently caught on camera during an NBA match in the United States.
On Feb. 9, Nam uploaded a couple of photos on his Instagram account and one of the photos included Stephen Curry's back during the Golden State Warriors' recent NBA match. The model-turned-actor then captioned it, "I'm a successful fan," showing off that he had personally seen Curry in action.
The 22-year old actor was also caught on camera during the game, capturing the attention of his "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" co-star Lee Sung Kyung. The actress then posted a screenshot of the moment on her Instagram account, Naver TV reported.
In the photo, Nam is seen in the VIP area of the Oracle Arena, where the Golden State Warriors have a home advantage. With regards to the news, a representative of YG Entertainment expressed, "Nam Joo Hyuk is really interested in basketball because he used to be on the basketball team in school. He's in the US for a photo shoot, and he decided to go to the match because he's a fan of Steph Curry," Soompi translated.
The two stars in the MBC drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," a coming-of-age drama inspired by the life of Olympic gold-medalist Jang Mi Ran. In the drama, Lee plays the role of Kim Bok Joo, a naturally gifted weightlifter with an ambitious personality, while Nam plays the role of Jung Joon Hyung, a talented swimmer with a playful personality.
The drama reunites Lee and Nam who previously starred in tvN's 'Cheese in the Trap." Although the series was commercial failure, the actors expressed that they are still proud of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" despite having a viewership rating of 4.6 percent on their final episode.
