Girls Generation leader Taeyeon is about to come out with her first solo album and the release is going to be a full-length feature.
A full-length release comes as a huge surprise to fans, especially since idols and idol groups usually release mini-albums and singles especially this early in the year. According to allkpop, the Girls' Generation member is aiming to release the album this February.
To tease fans, Taeyeon recently release her first music video teaser for her title track "I Got Love." Allkpop reported that the song will be a pre-release track from Taeyeon's upcoming full-length solo album.
There are high expectations for Taeyeon and her comeback especially since she did so well on the charts in past promotional cycles. Her songs "Rain," "I" and "Why" were particular chart-toppers during their time. Taeyeon's upcoming new album comes three months since she released "11:11" in November 2016.
Taeyeon is not the only Girls' Generation member slated to release a solo album this year. The group's youngest member, Seohyun just recently made her solo debut this year, making her the fourth member to promote solo after Taeyeon, Tiffany and Hyoyeon.
Seohyun recently released her album, titled "Don't Say No" on Jan. 17 on music sites and physical copies came out on Jan. 18. "After 10 years, I was able to make a solo album, and I'm really happy to release it during such a meaningful year," Seohyun said during an appearance on SBS' Power FM "2 O'clock Escape Cultwo Show. "I am glad that I will be able to do a lot of different performances for it."
Hyoyeon also hinted on her variety program "Teen Million Likes" that one of her plans this year is to releases another solo album. The other things on her list include Girls' Generation's 2017 album and overseas fanmeetings.
