"Jurassic World 2" is now confirmed to be in production as the leaked images show the camera is now starting to roll. A confirmation using a Twitter message by the actress Bryce Dallas Howard states that the set is in Slough, England.
Universal Pictures haven't released any information yet about the "Jurassic World 2" film, but several things have been lurking around that hints the filming of the new sequel. It has been said that the park has been shut down and dinosaurs have been sent for the production.
According to the Movie Web, aside from the Bryce Dallas Howard, the production will bring back the main protagonist Chris Pratt along with some of the returning cast like B.D. Wong. New cast has been announced as Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Daniella Pineda, James Cromwell and Ted Levine will be joining the adventure.
The series is hardly known to be a continuation of the story of the first "Jurassic World" title, which was released back in 2015. The film used genetically engineered dinosaurs that they called assets, presented with some animation to make it the effects more realistic.
The "Jurassic World 2" scripts are written by the Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, and will be under the direction of the newly-hired J.A. Bayona. Trevorrow led the "Jurassic World" first installment and is now stepping back for a writer position for the sequel.
As per the GameSpot reported, Trevorrow said during an interview that they want fans to see the sequel in a new direction. They decided to bring the sequel to a whole new level as he teased the "Jurassic World 2" to bring more bigger dinosaurs compared to the first title.
Trevorrow admitted that the first installment is a film that several fans would not forget due to its success. He added that he also wants to display how far their team could explore to make the sequel a better one.
The upcoming "Jurassic World 2" is planned to release next year June 22nd. As the first title is currently fourth in the highest-grossing film of all time, and as the film took $1.6 billion at the global box office, the sequel is expected to be a massive hit as well.
