Hallyu star Ji Soo shared how he got into the world of acting in his recent guesting on the Feb. 26 installment of “Kim Je Dong’s Talk to You”.
The 23-year-old star revealed that he did not plan to become an actor at first as his main concern before was his studies. However, after being influenced by his friend who has an acting background, he was urged to enter the enter the industry.
“It wasn’t anything like that. I was a judo athlete in elementary school, and I tried to focus on my studies in middle school, but that didn’t really work out. I placed more importance on building and solidifying the friendships I had… Coincidentally, my friend was attending an academy for [acting] at the time, and due to his influence…in combination with an instinctive feeling that I subconsciously liked movies…,” shared Ji Soo as quoted by Soompi.
Aside from talking about how he became an actor, the star also shared his thoughts on women as they age. According to him: “I’ve never thought that women become more intimidating as they age. They become more elegant and have deeper thoughts. I think women grow wiser as they age. That’s why my ideal type is someone like my mom. My ideal type is someone who can be there for me when it counts.”
Meanwhile, the Ji Soo is currently one of the lead stars in JTBC’s latest TV drama series titled “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon”, Soompi reports. The show, which premiered on Feb. 24, revolves around the life story of a girl with the super strength named Do Bong Soon (played by Park Bo Young), the rich businessman named Park Hyung Sik (portrayed by Ahn Min Hyuk) and the rookie detective Guk Doo (Ji Soo).
