Before she turned into a chubby athlete for "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," Cho Hye Sung is known for her slim figure and demure personality. Netizens were even surprised how the Korean actress transformed her image for the drama.

Cho Hye Sung took the role of Nan Hee in the come-of-age TV series. Her character was one of Lee Sung Kyung's friends in the weightlifting team.

Unlike her previous roles, the 25-year-old actress displayed a bubbly personality in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" as per Koreaboo. And just like Lee Sung Kyung, Cho Hye Sung had to gain some weight to play her character.

After her transformation for the drama, the actress has been receiving praises from the netizens. Most of them could not believe Cho Hye Sung's dedication to her work even if it means losing her figure.

"She is really pretty! Just because you're an actress doesn't mean you have to be slim," a netizen wrote. Another one said, "A real actress indeed. She really is amazing as a person and as an actress."

Others also lauded Cho Hye Sung for starting the trend "Do you like Messi" when trying to converse with someone you like.

In fact, ASZ reported the tagline has gone viral on the internet after some netizens found the courage to talk to their crushes by asking them if they knew the professional football player.

As a result, "Messi" landed on Twitter's top trending topics in the Philippines. Not only that, netizens even created memes with the said tagline.

The popular dialogue was first used by Cho Hye Sung during their encounter with Nam Joo Hyuk in the premiere episode of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." The actress explained that asking a man about the popular athlete would stir up his interest.

Hence, Lee Sung Kyung asked the same thing to Jung Jae Yi, who was rather confused of the question.
