Korean Pop Girl Group Oh My Girl have responded to a sexual harassment incident during their appearance at a college festival in Daegu on May 20. The incident caused an uproar among fans who attended the event, according to Stomp Strait Times.
When the festival ended, one of the attendants revealed the details of the incident on social media, and it soon went viral.
The anonymous attendant disclosed that someone in the audience shouted offensive comments at the K-Pop Girl Group while they were performing on stage. There were reportedly a lot of middle school students in the audience.
The offensive remarks are seen as a disgrace to the school that hosted the festival.
In addition to the minors in the audience, one netizen highlighted that one of the members of Oh My Girl is a minor.
WM Entertainment, Oh My Girl's management agency, responded to the allegations by stating that none of the members of the group heard the offensive remark as they were busy performing on stage.
WM Entertainment added that it is taking the incident seriously and will take countermeasures to protect their artists.
Oh My Girl has encountered several problems over the years. The girl group was denied entry to the United States on December 9, last year because of visa issues.
The United States Customs stated that the girl group attempted to enter the country with visitor visas when they could have secured performer visas.
