‘A Wrinkle In Time’ wraps up filming, Ava DuVernay shares photos

"A Wrinkle In Time" director Ava DuVernay announced that the principal photography for the film has wrapped up. She also shared a few stills and pictures from the set.

DuVernay called the project an "epic adventure" and said she loved every minute of filming. The "Selma" director went to thank her cast members and tweeted pictures of Oprah Winfrey, Andre Holland, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling among others, Deadline reported.

Speaking of Kaling, DuVernay had nothing but high praises for the star. “Thanks to the truly beautiful crew of Wrinkle in Time and our studio for standing with me every step of the way. Extraordinary experience,” she said.

She also commented that the performance of “Girl Meets World” star Rowan Blanchard has made a big impression and called her a “real artists with a voice.” Child actor Storm Reid was also mentioned in a series of posts and was called as the hero not just in the story but also in their set.

DuVray is the first black woman filmmaker to be nominated for the Oscars and helm a $100 million studio film project. Her adaptation of the Madeleine L’Engle novel is one of the most anticipated upcoming films next year, Yahoo reported.

“A Wrinkle In Time” is a young adult science fantasy novel published in 193. The story follows a young girl whose father, a government scientist has gone missing after working on a project called tesseract. The book has garnered positive response since it was first published and was made into a film of the same time in 2003. It has also been adapted into a plays, graphic novel and opera.
