South Korean actor Park Hae Jin expressed his appreciation and gratitude as one of the world’s most famous wax museum reveals his wax figure in its Hong Kong branch.
"I think of it as a very prestigious honor to be able to display my own wax figure alongside not only top stars, but also famous figures from around the world," said the actor as quoted by All KPop.
During the event, Park wore a navy blue suit similar to his wax figure, making them look like identical twins. Furthermore, he also had a chance to meet with some of his lucky fans who were able to get special passes through social media.
In an interview, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong General Manager Jenny You praised Park for his promising work ethics and volunteer works. She also believed that the unveiling of the Hallyu star’s wax figure will attract more visitors to the museum.
According to You as quoted by Yahoo: "Mr. Park devotes his efforts to his acting career as well as participates in volunteer work proactively. I am sure our guests will be excited to see Park at our attraction and it will definitely enhance interaction with visitors. It also makes our star-studded Madame Tussauds Hong Kong continue to dazzle at The Peak.”
The “Cheese in the Trap” star is the 9th Korean celebrity who have been featured in Madame Tussaud’s K-Wave zone. Joining him on the list are Bae Yong Joon, Lee Min Ho, Lee Jong Suk, Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Hyun Joon, 2PM's Nichkhun Horvejkul, Super Junior's Siwon Choi, and Miss A's Suzy Bae.
Park began his entertainment career in 2006 after being casted in the KBS weekend drama ”Famous Chil Princesses”. He rose to fame through his portrayals in “My Love from the Star”, “Bad Guys” and “ Cheese in the Trap”.
