KPop idol Jinyoung confessed why he preferred to be called in his original stage name “Junior” on his recent guesting at KBS Radio’s “Park Ji Yoon’s Gayo Plaza”.
Although he and his family have settled that he would be using “Jinyoung” as his screen name back in 2016, he decided to change it once again to as it is similar to the name of JYP Entertainment's big boss Park Jin Young. According to the GOT7 member as quoted by Soompi: “After promoting as Junior, I wanted to try promoting with my real name… I went back to [using] my real name because I wanted to show how I’ve grown with my name change.”
Meanwhile, Jinyoung is one of the cast members of Jo Jae Min’s latest film titled “Snowflakes”. In an interview, the artist shared how his father reacted to his role in the movie and has likewise expressed how proud he is for his fellow GOT7 member Junho for his role in the KBS drama “Chief Kim”.
"My dad has never seen a sad movie before, but after seeing my movie, he said to me, 'You were in the wrong'. Because I knew that my selfish actions [in the movie, as Min Sik] were wrong, I replied, 'I'm sorry'. I think [my dad] had a hard time accepting that his son ran away leaving a friend in a dire situation," said Jinyoung as quoted by All KPop.
He added: "I watched in awe, thinking, that there was such a side to Junho hyung in KBS drama 'Chief Kim'. I think he's very good at acting. I also thought, 'Sunbaenim is doing well, I should do well too.'"
The 22-year-old KPop idol began his entertainment career in 2011 after being casted in the TV drama series “Dream High 2”. Two years after his debut, he became one of the members of the boy group GOT7 alongside Mark, JB, Jackson, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom under the management of entertainment label JYP Entertainment.
