There is no holding back for Jia. The veteran member of K-Pop group Miss A has left the girl band after her contract with JYP Entertainment expired. This announcement was made by the renowned South Korean Entertainment Company on May 20.

According to JYP, the decision not to sign a new contract is a mutual choice between the label and the singer.

Jia has not yet revealed her plans after departing from Miss A but wished her former bandmates the best of luck.

Born as Meng Jia, the 27-year-old Chinese rapper, singer and actress was recruited by the JYP Entertainment to be one of its trainees in 2007.

She had made several appearances on Chinese shows together with Fei, who is also a part of Miss A.

Before joining Miss A in 2010, Jia’s former K-Pop band was called as the "Chinese Wonder Girls." The group, which was also under JYP, was composed of Jia, Fei, Min, and Suzy.

They band had their first promotional activities as a group in China after signing up with Samsung Electronics and releasing a commercial song called "Love Again" for the company’s Beat Festival in 2010

Their debut in South Korea, on the other hand, took place in July 2010 with their single “Bad Girl Good Girl.”

According to Korean media source Star News, Fei’s contract with JYP also expired this year.

However, the singer chose to renew her contract and continue her journey with Miss A.

Jia is one of the four well-known Chinese female celebrities active in the South Korean show business along with Fei.
