‘The Flash’ Season 3 episode 19 (finale) will not be airing on April 4: Here is what happens in ‘The Once and Future Flash’ [VIDEO]

"The Flash" Season 3 episode 19 will not be airing on April 4. The highly anticipated finale will air on April 25 with the episode titled "The Once and Future Flash." In an attempt to stop Savitar, Barry will travel to the future. Here are a few spoilers for "The Flash" Season 3 finale. Read on to find out what happens next.

"The Flash" Season 3 episode 19 (finale) will see Barry Allen and Savitar's much-awaited encounter that will take place in the year 2024. The network released a trailer for "The Once and Future Flash" and it gives a glimpse at the events of the upcoming segment.

In the previous episode, Barry learned that he must travel to the future to stop Savitar, his greatest enemy yet. In order to stop him from killing the love of his life, Iris West, Barry travels to the world after Iris' death wherein he comes face to face with the future Barry. Also, he meets wheelchair-bound Wally West.  

Meanwhile, the trailer gives a glimpse of Caitlin's Killer Frost. In the penultimate episode, Caitlin suffered some injuries at the hands of Abra Kadabra that is changing her into a killer. In the present day, Team Flash will be dealing with Killer Frost. Scroll down to watch the promo online. It is expected to reveal Savitar's identity that is expected to come as a shock to Barry.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "The Flash" Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg talked about Caitlin and Barry's fate.

"It's not just Iris and Barry's future that's at stake, it's also Caitlin's, and watching her try to avoid her fate becomes tied in with Iris' fate," Kreisberg said.

Previously, in an interview with EW, EP Kreisberg teased what to expect from "The Flash" Season 3 episode 19 (finale). He promises Barry's trip to future will "take the show in a fun and interesting direction."

"This is definitely his most involved trip to the future or the past because he's there for a predominant part of the episode and tries to get some clues as to how this went down in the future so he can come back and stop it," Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen, added. "Barry starts to get some answers pretty soon. It's going to be a challenge to stop this guy. It's going to be a different kind of challenge than we've ever had."
