Korean actor Jung Il Woo reportedly encountered a car mishap along Gangnam on Saturday, April 8. His agency, HB Entertainment, was quick to release a statement to explain the incident.
According to a bystander, the "Cinderella and Four Knights" actor managed to pull himself together after the car accident. "Jung Il Woo was very professional, and wasn't alarmed at all. There weren't any injuries," a witness said as per Allkpop.
A network insider explained the artist will have to see the doctor to make sure he is in perfect shape after the car crash. "Jung Il Woo's car was hit by another vehicle as he was waiting at a stop light," a source explained as cited by Soompi.
He will consult a doctor soon, but as he shows no signs of injury, he will most likely be able to continue his military duties in the civil service department.
Jung Il Woo is currently serving as a public service worker after finishing a month-long training at the Nonsan Army Training in December.
His initial plan was to serve as an active duty soldier. However, it was later found out that the actor has cerebral aneurysm which may cause stroke, coma or in worst case scenario, death.
The disorder was linked to Jung Il Woo's car accident in 2006, wherein he was diagnosed with a concussion, cerebral blood loss, and localized amnesia.
"Since about three years ago, he has had frequent headaches. After a medical examination, Jung Il Woo was diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm," his agency explained.
Despite his health condition, Jung Il Woo turned down the re-evaluation and insisted to serve the military. The "Cinderella and Four Knights" actor quietly entered the boot camp after meeting with his family and close friends and was given a "Grade 4 Alternative Service" due to his health condition.
