KPop idol Taecyeon opened up in an interview with news agency News Agency the reasons why he accepted the offer to star in his latest mystery thriller film “House if the Disappeared”.
The 2PM member revealed that his co-star Kim Yun Jin was one of his drivers to pursue the acting project. According to the 28-year old singer, songwriter, and actor, the actress’ portrayal in the American TV drama series “Lost” has helped him raise his self-esteem.
Aside from sharing his inspiration, the Hallyu star also talked about his thoughts about the film. Furthermore, he had likewise expressed his love and devotion to his group that is currently celebrating their 10th anniversary in the entertainment industry.
"The script is very unique. It's a very tightly written scenario with a mixture of thrills as well as motherhood... It's something many viewers will be able to enjoy and relate to,” said Taecyeon as quoted by All KPop.
He continued regarding his group 2PM, "Even if 2PM were to disband ten, twenty years down the line, I wouldn't just let it go. Though I am slowly transitioning into an actor, that doesn't mean I'm solely going to focus on acting, no…”
Meanwhile, Taecyeon has been recently reported to star in the upcoming TV Drama series “Save Me” which is set to be aired on OCN. However, the star’s participation in the show was not yet finalized as he is still considering if he would accept the offer or not.
According to the official statement released by Taecyeon’s talent management agency JYP Entertainment as quoted by Soompi: “He’s positively considering to appear in the drama ‘Save Me’”.
Taecyeon rose to fame after joining 2PM in 2008. He made his acting debut through the TV drama series “Cinderella Sister”.
