Tickets for G-Dragon's upcoming solo concert barely lasted 10 minutes after they were made available online on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
According to Allkpop, the BIGBANG member's "ACT III, M.O.T.T.E" concert immediately sold out after the first round of ticket sales on April 13. G-Dragon is expected to gather 65,000 fans for his third solo concert at Seoul's World Cup Stadium on June 10.
Reports stated the upcoming show might be G-Dragon's last solo concert before his impending enlistment. Koreaboo cited the BIGBANG leader might begin his military duties before the year ends, following his co-member T.O.P who entered the bootcamp in February.
Aside from that, the upcoming "ACT III, M.O.T.T.E" will mark G-Dragon's first solo concert in three years. The idol had his very first concert at Olympic Gymnastics Arena in 2009, gathering about 20,000 fans for the two-day show.
It was followed by "One of a Kind Tour" where G-Dragon invaded nine countries and 13 cities for a series of shows. The concert tour, which lasted for about six months, drew about 570,000 concertgoers.
The immense popularity of G-Dragon is not only recognized by Asian K-pop fans, but also by American artists who have been vocal about their desire to collaborate with the idol.
For instance, DNCE, which happens to have a Korean member, expressed a strong desire to work with the BIGBANG leader. During an interview, the four-member group composed of Joe Jonas, Jack Lawless, Cole Whittle, and Jin Joo Lee picked G-Dragon for a potential collaboration.
Recently, it was revealed that the singer-rapper will be featured in IU's fourth studio album called "Palette." Further reports stated the album will present a variety of genres, raising the excitement of the fans.
Watch out for IU's newest album scheduled to be released on April 21 at 6:00 p.m. KST.
