Hallyu star IU has recently graced the April 30 broadcast of the South Korean music program “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.”

During the show, the 23-year-old singer, songwriter, and actress entertained the audience with her collaboration song titled “Can’t Love You Anymore” alongside with indie singer Hyuk. After her performance, IU sat with program host Yoo Hee Yeol and talked about their relationship, her past appearances on the show, her songwriting partnership with Hyuk, and being featured in G-Dragon’s single “Palette.”

“First he babied me like his real niece, but now it’s just business,” said IU describing her relationship with Yong as quoted by Soompi.

She further stated regarding her song project with G-Dragon: “I’m so honored and thankful,” and showed her appreciation for G-Dragon’s participation… On broadcasts, I do the rap myself. I considered asking somebody else to do it [for broadcasts], but it got complicated and the original vibe of the song was somewhat lost, in which case I figured it was probably better if I did it for laughs instead.”

Meanwhile, IU is set to appear in the upcoming 500th episode of the popular KBS2 variety show “Happy Together” on May 25. According to a report by All KPop, the artist will be showcased in one of the program segment called “I Miss You My Friend” which features the close friends of the hosts.

Joining the star in the said segment is ”That Winter, the Wind Blows” Jo In Sung who is a close friend of program host Yoo Jae Suk. Although no confirmation has been made yet from the two artists, fans have expressed their excitement for their guesting in the forthcoming installment of the show.

Born as Lee Ji Eun, IU began her road to stardom at the age of 15 with her debut album “Lost and Found” under the management of LOEN Entertainment in 2007. Aside from her promising musical career, she also appeared in several TV drama series including “Dream High”, “You're the Best, Lee Soon-shin” and “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo”.
