Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has not only entered the world of politics in the Philippines but also the mobile gaming industry as he has allegedly purchased a small stake in the Singapore-based mobile gaming firm GToken.

According to TechInAsia, both parties refused to divulge details about the agreement, but an official contract has already been signed over the weekend in the boxer's hometown in General Santos City in southern Philippines.

GToken is currently worth at $60 million. Founded in 2012, GToken publishes crowdsourced mobile games and develops its own virtual currency, which is used for in-app purchases. It also has a loyalty rewards program where players can redeem limited edition items once gamers reach a VIP status.

Some of GToken's latest releases are Pocket Races GT and Endgods league.

The eight-weight divisions title holder will be joining one of GToken's founding investors Ivan Lee, a serial entrepreneur who is also the founder of private investment fund Raging Bull.

Pacquiao, 37, is dubbed as the second highest-paid celebrity with $160 million next to retired American welterweight champ Floyd Mayweather on Forbes 2015 list. Outside the ring, the legendary Filipino athlete has endorsed several brands including Nike, Foot Locker, Nestle's Butterfinger, and a lot of local brands.
