Renowned Filipino stars Princess Punzalan, Kristine Hermosa-Sotto, Victor Neri, Jaypee de Guzman, and JM de Guzman are returning to the showbiz industry. The five stars have been on hiatus for several years, but they are coming back on the television screen.
Princess Punzalan left the industry because she was not given any new breaks. She decided to travel to the United States to be with her husband and to be a full-time mom to their two-year-old daughter. She said that she was happy living a life away from cameras and paparazzi's but also admitted that she missed acting. This is why she accepted small projects from time to time. Princess is currently part of the cast for a local Philippine TV series entitled "Story of Us."
Actress Kristine Hermosa-Sotto, on the other hand, took a break after she married her husband-actor Oyo Boy Sotto in the year 2011. Despite being pregnant, she will still take part in "Hay Bahay," a sitcom for a local TV network. According to the actress, this will be her first regular television show after five years.
Meanwhile, Jaypee De Guzman left the industry to pursue another passion of his. He went to study Communication Arts at one of the prestigious schools in the Philippines so he can work behind the camera. He has done several postproduction works and directed a few music videos.
While the rest of the stars left to pursue their passion, JM de Guzman left to complete a 15-month drug rehabilitation program. Despite the challenge that he faced with substance abuse, he has bounced back and has been given a break in the TV series "All of Me."
