Lee Min Ho received an award on June 21 at the first annual "Sharing Happiness Ceremony" held at the Sejeong Hotel in Jung District, central Seoul, according to MYM Entertainment.

This "Sharing Happiness Award" was created by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and is given to people who help raise social awareness and contribute to spreading the culture of sharing, according to Soompi.

Lee Min-ho was selected as one of the award winners on the night. He was the only celebrity awarded out of 40 other recipients.

Lee has participated in many social contributions since his debut. In 2009, he joined in a mosquito net UNICEF campaign to prevent malaria. In 2015, he donated 100 million Won ($87,000) to the Nepal earthquake relief efforts.

He continues to give generously to UNICEF's campaigns, making him part of UNICEF's Honors Club. This club is made up of those who have contributed to help protect children around the world.

A charity platform called PROMIZ was established by Lee in 2014 to give back to the society. His charity organization has supported several charitable acts including child welfare improvement, digging wells in Africa, and purifying water.

Lee Min-ho said that he practices sharing to repay the love he has received from his fans all over the world. He promised to keep trying to help those who are in need.

"I will try to grow as an actor who embraces the world with a warm heart," Lee said.
