Two major entertainment agencies recently defended actor Song Joong Ki, with Song Hye Kyo's agency UAA stating that the actor should not be dragged in the Park Yoochun scandal and Blossom Entertainment announcing its intent to file charges on behalf of Joong Ki.

The popular "Descendants of the Sun" star has been in the news lately because of rumors that he, along with Park Bo Gum, was with friend Yoochun on the night of June 3, where the latter allegedly committed sexual assault in a bathroom of an adult entertainment establishment.

According to Soompi, UAA stated that the rumor is false and Joong Ki could not possibly be involved in the sexual assault, as the actor attended the Baeksang Arts Awards on the night of June 3 and afterwards had dinner with Hyeo Kyo and Yoo Ah In, along with their managers. There were even photos taken by media outlets of the said after party, the report stated.

The actor's agency, Blossom Entertainment is expected to file charges, according to Movie News Guide (MNG). The agency has stated that Joong Ki is innocent and should not be dragged in the Yoochun scandal, and has declared its intention to file charges against the individuals and outlets spreading the malicious rumors.

The efforts of the agencies are understandable, given that the scandal can hurt and damage Joong Ki's reputation. The scandal has deeply impacted Yoochun, as the case had hogged headlines and saw some producers dropping the latter from their shows to avoid negative reviews.
