Young artist Jung Chae Yeon shyly talked about her plastic surgery history during her appearance on the first episode of MBC Everyone's "Video Star" broadcasted on July 12.
The 18-year-old member of South Korean girl groups DIA and I.O.I. honestly answered the questions at her by variety show hosts Park Na Rae and Kim Sook regarding her plastic surgery history. The two hosts even showed an old photo of Jung, which made the young artist a little embarrassed.
Soompi reported that the photo shown during the show was a pre-debut image of the "Drinking Solo" star. "I was obese then. From 64 kilograms, I'm now 48 kilograms," Jung was quoted saying.
Kim made a follow-up question asking if the young artist has received double eyelid surgery, which Jung retorted with yet another confession, "It was my nose that I did. I gained double eyelids when I was in middle school."
Jung made her debut in 2015 as a member of girl group DIA under MBK Entertainment. She left the group after deciding to join ten other members of girl group I.O.I. formed by CJ E&M through a reality show called "Produce 101" just this year.
Amid rising popularity, the young artist reportedly chose to turn down 13 ad offers to give her full attention on the reality show.
In May, Jung announced her decision to re-join DIA for the girl group's comeback, which raised questions and confusions from her followers. However, YMC Entertainment clarified Jung will fulfill her promotions to both girl groups, Allkpop reported. The DIA and I.O.I. member also promised her fans that she will continue to work even harder and will not disappoint them.
Aside from her singing career, Jung will soon appear on the screen for "Drinking Solo" as one of the students in Noryangjin. The drama is slated to start in August every Mondays and Tuesdays on tvN.
