Pakistan's highest-grossing animated film 3 Bahadur will have a sequel as announced by Waadi Animations. The animated film that was released on May 22, 2015, grossed more than Rs 6.5 crores in the local box office.
"3 Bahadur" is Pakistan's first animated film that has a similar good vs evil plot most are familiar with. However, the animated film is peppered with humor, songs and actions that will for sure entertain both kids and grown-ups.
In "3 Bahadur," three bahadur kids, Kamil, Saadi and Amna decide to fight the evil goon "Mangu" and his hoodlums and stop his reign of terror over the imaginary city of "Roshan Basti. The kids gained supernatural powers and fought the hoodlums in an often funny, but action-packed sequences, according to DAWN. In the end, the children overthrew Mangu, thus the town was saved.
In the sequel, voice actors for the said film will be returning to reprise their roles, according to Fashion Central. Zuhan Khan will return as Saadi, Hanzala Shahid as Kamil. Arisha Razi will replace Muneeba Yaseen for the role of Amna. Other actors that will also be returning as well are Bahroze Sabwari, Bassam Shazli, Hammad Siddiq. New casts will also be joining the cast of 3 Bahadur Part 2 with Ahmed Ali Butt, Ali Gul Pir, Sarwat Gilani, Salman Shadid and Mustafa Changezi.
"3 Bahadur was a very special project for me because it inculcated a sense of pride and ownership in Pakistani children," Film Director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy said about the film. "Now, with 3 Bahadur Part 2, I want to make sure that Saadi, Kamil and Amna inspire bravery and fearlessness in every child across the country."
3 Bahadur Part 2 will have its theatrical release on Dec. 2016. Fans can expect that it will still hold the same values of friendship, teamwork and courage that made the first movie a phenomenon.
