During her appearance on the 16th episode of "Baek Jong Won's Three Great Emperors" aired on July 16, SISTAR member Soyou revealed it was her dream to appear on the variety cooking show.

The South Korean singer went on with a revelation, "Not as a guest, but as one of the permanent MCs." Soyou's statement made the show's host, Baek Jong Won, chuckled and replied with a joke, "It's not that you want to replace me, right? It's my program with my name in front of it," as quoted by Allkpop.

The SISTAR member was quick to respond and explained that she would like to join "Baek Jong Won's Three Great Emperors" because she likes to eat, hence she is being called Eating-Soyou.

Meanwhile, Soyou previously shared about her struggles in dieting when she was just starting out in the industry. The 24-year-old singer said she had tried a number of dieting methods without consulting for the right kind of diet suited for her body type.

"Back then, I became depressed just by the fact that I was dieting. And it got even more difficult when I saw negative reactions from netizens, saying that my body was "a photoshopped body" or that "I wasn't any better even after losing weight." It made me feel like I was working toward nothing," OneHallyu quoted Soyou as saying.

Soyou revealed comments like these affected her and added to her depression; however, the singer came to a realization that she has to change her lifestyle.

Soyou made her debut when she joined girl group SISTAR in 2010. Aside from performing with the girl group, Soyou has also collaborated with several artists like J2's Woo, hip hop duo Geeks, K. Will and Jeongmin of Boyfriend and a lot more.

The SISTAR member has also received a number of awards since she started her career. She was given Artist of the Year awards during the 3rd and 4th Gaon Chart K-pop Awards in 2013 and 2014.
