F.T. Island main vocalist Lee Hong Ki revealed he wants to focus on music over his acting career after his band released their comeback album "Where's The Truth" on July 18.

"I want to focus on music right now. I started writing songs since last year and I wouldn't step out of the production room because I was so into it. It feels like the scale is tipped toward music right now," Lee said, as quoted by Soompi.

The 26-year-old F.T. Island member went on, "That's why I chose to do a musical over just plain acting. At the end of August, I'm performing in the musical that is inspired by singer Kim Kwang Suk. The schedule for the musical overlaps with the promotion of this album but I'm going to give it my best despite the difficult schedule."

Before he joined F.T. Island in 2007, Lee started out as a child actor on "Magic Kid Masuri" in 2002. Aside from his appearances in a number of TV dramas and a couple of movies, Lee has also played in a Korean musical, where he showed both his talent in singing and acting.

The F.T. Island member admitted he went through tough times when he was a teenager. Lee said all he wanted to do then was to go out with his colleagues and forget about what he has started, Kpopstarz reported.

Lee added that he often gets compliments when he sings in the karaoke with his colleagues; however, he added he did not make a big deal out of these remarks then. Without him knowing when and how, entertainment agencies started chasing him and made him decide to join auditions. Since then, he admitted he fell in love with acting and singing.

On the other hand, F.T. Island's sixth studio album "Where's The Truth" includes a song personally produced by the band members. The song is entitled "Take Me Now" and its music video was released on the same day the album was made public.
