The epic success of the sires has led to HBO to renew the heroic "Game of Thrones" Season 7. However, rumors of the series losing its touch and dominance in the small screens are creeping into the surface, affecting the series and its legacy.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is still a long process from airing and avid followers of the sequel are making sure to withstand the pause. Luckily, there are several ways admirers can stuff the "Game of Thrones" sized emptiness and tolerate the long pause interval until Season 7 airs next year. For starters, it might help to find a good show to watch on Sunday nights.

According to The Wrap, AMC's "Preacher" is a great Sunday night alternative to "Game of Thrones." Even though "Preacher" is not rooted in ancient times, it is based on a famous comic book sequel and the plot focuses on a Texas preacher, Jess Custer, who is trying to find redemption.

One of the vigors of the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is the character's effort to rise and achieve ultimate power and since the return is still underway, fans could opt to watch for "Rome" to fill the emptiness until the series returns.

Whatever people end up doing, whether it is binge watching a new show or settling down with a good book, the countdown for the hit series "Game of Thrones" Season 7 could not dwindle down faster, the Times noted.

The return of the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is anticipated to air sometime in the spring of 2017.
