Actor Yim Si-wan plays a Second Lieutenant role in the upcoming movie "Thinking of Elder Brother." This is another challenging role for the 27-year-old Korean actor.
Yim works with director Lee Han in this film. According to the Korean director, Yim was the best fit for this movie. Director Lee was confident that Yim could pull this off as cited at The Korea Herald.
This is a drama-war movie as pointed out by Latest Top News Now. Yim played the character of Han Sang-Yeol who is an excellent military leader during the Korean War in the early 1950s. The story becomes heart-warming and moving when Han Sang-Yeol meets a children's choir who needs his help and protection during the war.
The character is very challenging, but Yim is not new to such acting roles. He was well acknowledged in the film "The Attorney" in 2013 and the 2014 TV drama series "Misaeng" which were both box-office hits. He won several movie and TV awards such as "Best New Actor" in the 3rd Marie Claire Film Awards and "Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries" in the 4th APAN Star Awards. Yim as well received some TV and movie nominations.
Along with Yim in this movie are actors Ko Ah-seong, Lee Hee-joon, Lee Joon-hyeok-I, Lee Re, Tang Joon-sang and many more. Public viewers and fans are very much excited with this movie. In fact, the film's trailer and preview videos received over 1 million hits in a day.
The movie will be released on Feb. 15, 2016, and will be distributed by Next Entertainment World. Will this be Yim's next big project? Will this be a good start of his 2016 movie and TV career?
