Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is reportedly planning to replace Ranveer Singh as lead character in his next project "Padmavati."
Ranveer Singh's girlfriend and actress Deepika Padukone is playing female lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's historic romance drama. It is now reported that Bhansali may cast superstar Shahrukh Khan as movie's male lead instead of Ranveer Singh, FirstPost reported. Bhansali is said to be miffed with Singh for demanding script of the movie. Bhansali, Ranveer and Deepika have worked together in hit movies "Ram Leela" and "Bajirao Mastani."
Shahrukh Khan is currently busy with Rahul Dholakia's "Raees" and Gauri Shinde's "Dear Zindagi." Last week, the 50-year-old actor was detained at Los Angeles airport by the immigration officials. It was third time the "Fan" actor detained at an U.S. airport for questioning. Earlier in 2009, Shahrukh Khan was detained by U.S. immigration department at Newark International Airport, New Jersey. He was again kept under detention at New York airport for nearly two hours in 2012.
Ranveer Singh is also making headlines for his passionate kissing scenes with actress Vaani Kapoor in the recently released posters of his upcoming movie "Befikre." Singh, in a media interview, said that he is very happy to work with Aditya Chopra. Chopra is directing and producing the movie under the banner of Yash Raj Films. "I'm happy that I'm collaborating with Adi sir on his freshest story and endeavor. Whatever you expect normally out of an Aditya Chopra film, this is unlike anything that he's made before," Singh said, reported Indian Express newspaper.
