"Pokemon GO" has become one of the best (if not THE best) mobile gaming app in the world, and today there have been talks of major updates to keep fans looking forward. Niantic Labs promised to deliver more content to make the ever successful location-based augmented reality (AR) game even better.
There have been fans who have experience in playing the previous "Pokemon" versions back then in the Game Boy. Although "Pokemon Go" has been a hit in the mobile app industry, these fans feel that many of the popular content from the original games are absent. Good examples of these content include trading and trainer versus trainer battles.
To answer these concerns, Niantic will be providing an update soon that might include many of these features. It would also be possible that some of these features would a number of new monsters, according to Tech News Today.
It was also mentioned that the new Pokemon would include the much-coveted Generation-1 Legendary Birds. While there have been hoax videos showcasing "Pokemon Go" players capturing Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno, the official update might present the method of capturing these differently.
Niantic had an idea mentioned in the official Twitter account "Pokemon Go News" on how to capture these legendary birds. The method begins with the player answering the summons of the gym leaders at a local Pokestop over reported sightings of Articuno, Moltres, or Zapdos.
After which, the players are tasked to look for special Feather to be given to gym leaders. The players are required to collect an appropriate number of these feathers and then their respective Legendary birds (Articuno for Team Mystic, Moltres for Team Valor and Zapdos for Team Instinct) will battle the players. Once won, the players will be given a special Pokeball to capture these Legendary Birds.
Reports from Slash Gear also states new features besides the Legendary Birds that go with the update such as new items, trading Pokemon, buddy Pokemon system, a "Forts" system, and Google VR app.
New items have included two types of lures and new types of egg incubators. The trade system may also work differently than their Nintendo counterparts, without the need for players to be exactly next ot each other. The buddy Pokemon might pertain to having a Pokemon companion avatar by the player's side.
The newest code for app also mentioned "Forts" in the update, possibly pertaining to locations like Pokestops or gyms or probably a new category all together. And, finally, "Pokemon Go" will have a place in the Google virtual reality platform.
