Since 2PM's last album "No. 5" in 2015, the group has officially announced their plans to make a comeback. In celebration of the group's eighth anniversary, it looks like 2PM has been planning this comeback all along.
In a statement released by JYP Entertainment, "2PM has set a goal to make a comeback by the middle of September and is currently preparing for the new album." The agency also added that "The album will show a different masculine image than their previous 'beast-idol' concept,' Soompi reported. From their tough image, the group will transition to a boyfriend image.
On September 4, Lee Junho uploaded on his Instagram account a photo of the schedule. Dates of the group's four rounds of teaser images, music video teaser, tracklist, album spoiler, and more including the online release of their new album "Gentlemen's Game" on Sept. 13 at midnight KST.
On top of that, a series of questions are needed to be answered before you can access 2PM's official site. Handwritten messages and selfies of the group are the reward for the hard to answer questions, allkpop reported.
Presently, the members are busy promoting their individual projects. Taecyon is currently starring in the drama "Hey Ghost, Let's Fight" with Korean actress Kim So-hyun and actor Kwon Yul, while Jun K. recently made his solo debut with his new album.
"Hey Ghost, Let's Fight"" is a Korean drama remake of the webtoon of the same title. A cohabitation comedy about a 17-year old exorcist boy who faces off with a schoolgirl ghost, who he accidentally kiss during the fight leading to their mutual spark.
2PM is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment. The current members are Jun K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho and Chansung. In early 2010, former group leader Jay Park left the group due to a post he made which made a lot of Koreans upset.
