South Korean actress Yang Jung Won and Seungri of the boy group Big Bang have been recently linked as a couple. However, in her recent guesting in MBC’s “Video Star” on September 6, Yang denied the rumors and claimed that she and the singer-songwriter are only good friends and nothing more.
"Seungri and I are in a good nuna and dongseng friendship. We randomly met while eating out at a restaurant, and he paid for my meal without even saying anything," Yang stated as quoted by All KPop.
“No. We're very informal with each other. We know everything about each other's love lives," the actress added when the host asked her if she and Seungri are in some sort of relationship.
Recently, Yang’s name has also been involved in a controversy with KPop idol Jun Hyosung’s after her offhand remark regarding the singer’s gum surgery in the live internet radio show “Bae Sung Jae’s 10” aired on SBS PowerFM which has resulted to fans' outrage on the internet, Soompi reported. Yang later expressed her regrets for her action to the singer.
Jun accepted Yang’s apology through her agency, stating that she understood the actress’ action and no further legal action will be taken against her. She also denied the surgery rumors and claimed that she has no time to undergo the said procedure.
Yang is known for her portrayals in the films “Golden Chariot in the Sky,” “Jiseul” and “Nostalgia.” Seungri, on the other hand, is the youngest member of Big Bang and is recognized for his brilliant skills in dancing and singing.
