It has been widely rumored that a new Huawei-made Nexus 7 tablet is being produced for Google, and this new device may actually see the light of day on October 2016.

Google's new smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL, are set to be released in October and many are speculating that the new Nexus 7 tablet may also be launched on the same date. The new Daydream VR of Google and the new 4k-enable Chromecast dongle are also expected to be launched on this event.

The new Nexus 7, according to Trusted Reviews, is a big possibility since Google and Huawei already have a history of collaborating for Nexus, the latest of which is the Nexus 6P smartphone. In a PR by Huawei published in PC Advisor, it said, "We don't comment on future products, as a matter of policy. Huawei is committed to creating the world's most compelling and innovative devices, offering an exceptional performance and outstanding user experience."

The PR added that Huawei recognizes Google's strength in innovation, is proud to have worked with Google and will definitely continue to collaborate with the tech titan in the future. Huawei further cites its support for the upcoming and highly anticipated Daydream VR of Google.

The renowned gadget leaker Evan Blass also made a pronouncement on Twitter about the much anticipated tablet.

"Google's Huawei-built 7-inch tablet, with 4GB RAM, on track for release before the end of the year," Evan Blass (@evleaks) tweeted.

With Nexus 9 not clicking and the Pixel C having its launch spoiled by bad software, Google's Android tablets have been a "rough couple of years." In other words, Android tablets "need a comeback" and the release of the new Huawei-made Nexus 7 might just do that. Nexus 7, according to The Verge, is said to be the "Platonic Ideal of an Android tablet" for many Android users since the device is cheap, durable, decent-looking and pocketable.
