The Apple September event has passed and no iPad mini 5 was showcased. Consumers are still puzzled why the device was not put in the appearance during the event knowing that it is one of the most anticipated Apple products that people are waiting to be revealed. The event focused mainly on the new iPhone 7 and the new Apple Watch.
Both Apple users and non-Apple users are wondering what iPad mini 5 will exactly look like and what are the real features and specifications. Aside from those, the price should also be considered.
The appearance if iPad mini 5 (or shall we call it iPad Pro mini?) will be not far from its predecessors, only it will have a thinner physique. As per rumors, Apple will use Series 7000 aluminum for the new iPad mini. It is the same material that was used to build iPhone 6S which made the device firmer and portable, according to PC Advisor.
Since iPad Mini 5 will look like its predecessor iPad Mini 4, it necessarily doesn't mean that they will be in exact in all aspects. The fifth generation iPad is more likely to have the same 7.9 inch Retina display that iPad mini 4 has and will just measure 5 mm thick. Also, the new device will be offered in rose gold, just like with any other Apple products.
Apple might not upgrade the screen resolution since it would be against what it stated about the Retina display. However, there might be an addition of 3D Touch. As for the battery, the new iPad mini will bear a smaller-capacity battery to install into a 5 mm frame but will utilize enhanced technology to prevent early battery run down.
The price of iPad mini 5 could not be that far from iPad mini 4. Based on last year's pricing of iPad mini 4, iPad mini 5 is expected to be priced from $399 (£319) to $439 (£579) with the device starting at 32 GB, MacWorld reported.
Until now, it is still a debate to whether call the new iPad mini the iPad Pro Mini or follow Apple's numbering scheme and call it iPad mini 5. Maybe it's better to wait until 2017 and rely on as KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who predicted that Apple will reveal three new iPads.
