"Fifty Shades of Grey" Jamie Dornan, real-life sisters Jemima and Lola Kirke, and Ben Mendelsohn are getting together to star in Emma Forrest's indie dramedy "Untogether." The production is scheduled to begin on Oct. 17.
Dornan will play as a successful writer Nick, as Variety reported. He found his success with his memoir of wartime bravery. He is showered in wealth and women. He has an affair with a former teen prodigy turned heroin addict Andrea (Jemima). Andrea is a wannabe writer that is sober. Meanwhile, her little sister Tara (Lola) finds her solid relationship with her older boyfriend Martin (Mendelsohn) shaken when she gets attracted to a charismatic rabbi with an even larger age gap.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, best-selling author Forrest will direct "Untogether" based on her own screenplay. The project is her feature helming debut and also the first major feature film in which the Kirke sisters will star in together.
The producers of "Untogether" are Scott LaStaiti, Luke Daniels, and Brandon K. Hogan. The executive producers are Jeff Rice, Jeff Elliott, and Chad Moore. Green-Light International will be selling and presenting the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Dornan is known as Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey" and the upcoming sequels "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed." He also recently appeared in "Anthropoid" with Cillian Murphy. He will appear in the Netflix film "The Siege of Jadotville" that is due to be released next month. He also will star in the crime thriller "The Fall" Season 3 that premieres this month on BBC and next month on Netflix. He is repped by UTA, Troika in the U.K., and Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.
Jemima Kirke stars on HBO's hit series "Girls" since it began in 2012. Her film credits include Dunham's "Tiny Furniture" and the upcoming "The Little Hours." She is repped by CAA, MGMT Entertainment, and Schreck Rose Dapello & Adams.
Lola Kirke made appearances in David Fincher's "Gone Girl," the upcoming Tom Cruise movie "American Made," Noah Baumbach's "Mistress America." She was cast on the Golden-winning Amazon series "Mozart in the Jungle" since 2014. She is repped by ICM Partners and One Entertainment.
Mendelsohn stars in Netflix series "Bloodline" with Kyle Chandler. He made appearances in "Slow West" and "Missippi Grind" last year. He is expected to be seen in Disney and Lucasfilm's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One." He is repped by CAA, United Management, and Fred Toczek.
British writer Forrest has penned several screenplays such as "Liars (A-E)" for Scott Rudin and Miramax and "The Boss of It All" for Imagine Entertainment. She is repped by CAA and Casarotto Ramsay & Associates.
