Dhanush is slated to make his Hollywood debut with "The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir." As per Indian media reports, the 33-year-old "Maari" actor will start shooting for the movie from January 2017.
"The project was supposed to start much earlier, but got postponed due to some reasons. Dhanush will join the sets of the film from January," an informed source said, Indo Asian News Service (IANS) reported. "In the interim, he will complete shooting for Power Paandi and also finish major portion of Vetrimaaran's Vada Chennai," the source added.
Directed by Iranian filmmaker Marjane Satrapi, "The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir" also stars Alexandra Daddario, Gemma Arterton, Seema Biswas, Barkhad Abdi, Laurent Lafitte and Abel Jafri. The movie is an adaptation of Romain Puertolas' famous work "The Extraordinary Journey Of A Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard."
Dhanush, who worked in hit Bollywood movies "Ranjhana" and "Shamitabh," is excited about his first international project. The "Thanga Magan" actor recently said that director Marjane Satrapi had watched all his movies before finalizing him as lead actor,Sify reported.
Dhanush is also making his directorial debut with Tamil movie "Power Pandi" starring Rajkiran and Prasanna.
