A few days ago, rumor has it that "One Punch Man" Season 2 will arrive before the year ends. However, the latest speculation circulated online is that the highly anticipated anime will not offer season 2 after all.
Due to the absence of promotional materials which will hype up the anime's arrival, it is speculated that there might be no season 2 for the anime. Observers pointed out that, "One Punch Man" Season 2 would arrive next month if the anime series' upcoming season were to have a one-year interval between the premiere of its last season and its upcoming season. Also, not a single promotional material for "One Punch Man" Season 2 has been released.
There is no sources proving that "One Punch Man" Season 2 is underway. However, the anime's creator Yukuse Murata revealed that he will be working hard to deliver a season 2 of the much anticipated anime, Anime Corner reported.
Meanwhile, another speculation suggested that two new major villains "Garou" and "Amai Mask" will be on season 2. "Garou" is said to be a disciple of Bang and human monster while "Amai Mask" is a Rank 1 class A hero.
Also, it is widely speculated online that "Saitama" could lose his power. According to rumors, Saitama and Lord Boros will have a rematch in season 2 as Lord Boros will seek revenge from his defeat in the first season.
In 2014, "One Punch Man" was one of the ten nominated manga series for the seventh annual Manga Taisho Awards, Anime News Network reported. The manga series had already release 3.2 million copies in April 2014 and 4.5 million copies in November 2014.
After it's released in the United States, both the first and second volumes of the manga series debuted on New York Times' Manga Best Sellers list, at first and second place, respectively. In 2015, the manga series was nominated for an Eisner Award.
