The popular Kpop band KARA is slammed with disbandment rumours once again. The South Korean girl group is said to be on the verge of break up after one of its members will be seen making a lone appearance at Japanese variety show.
According to Allkpop, Heo Youngji of KARA will be promoting KARA's Japanese fitness DVD "KARA the Fit" at the Japan's Asahi TV's "Mono Concierge." This will be the first time when Heo Youngji will make a solo appearance in Japan. Rumours claim that Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon and Goo Ha-ra will not be accompanying Heo Youngji.
Fans must note that the report lack official confirmation from the band members. Thus the information must be considered with a pinch of salt. However, singers' contract with DSP media is expiring at the end of January and there is no news regarding its renewal.
According to Soompi, the rumours about KARA's disbandment emerged when Youngji changed the name of her Instagram account. From @kara_youngji_hur, Youngji changed it to @young_g_hur. The modification led to a frenzy of speculation.
Addressing the rumours, DSP media issued a statement. "The three have yet to decide, so the rumors of Kara disbanding are most definitely false. Before their three contracts are officially expired, we can't know anything for certain."
Meanwhile, in its latest report, Yonhap News has confirmed the news about KARA's breakup. According to the website, a source said that the band will "dissolve next month." Park Gyuri, Seungyeon and Goog Hara will not be extending their contracts. At the same time, the three singers are reportedly on a look out for new agencies that will be representing them after they abandon KARA.
Fans know that KARA has been through several ups and downs ever since it was introduced in 2007. After the departure of Kim Sunghee and Jung Nicole, Park Gyuri and Han Seungyeon are the only two original members remaining in the group. As for Youngji, she is the newest member of KARA. She joined the group in 2014 after winning the KARA Project.
