Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will play a 70-year-old man in Katrina Kaif starrer "Tiger Zinda Hai" movie.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, "Tiger Zinda Hai" is a sequel of Salman Khan's 2012 blockbuster "Ek Tha Tiger." "The film, titled 'Tiger Zinda Hai', will take off from where 'Ek Tha Tiger' left, and will trace the story of Tiger, a top spy," a source said, Times of India reported. "Ali Abbas Zafar is keen to add several thrilling elements to the film and make it an exciting watch for Salman fans." The makers of the "Tiger Zinda Hai" has recently released first look of the romantic thriller, which is slated to release on Christmas in 2017.
Zafar, who worked with Salman Khan in massively successful "Sultan" movie, is keen to cast Khan again in a never seen before avatar in "Tiger Zinda Hai." Media reports suggest that Khan will play a 70-year-old man in the movie, which is believed to be inspired by a Korean spy drama. "In Sultan, he played a down-and-out wrestler who struggles to get into shape and win. And now, Tiger Zinda Hai will have Salman in a never-seen-before avatar as well," a source said, DNA India reported.
The Yash Raj Films (YRF) produced "Tiger Zinda Hai" will also mark the return of Bollywood's one of most successful on screen pair Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif together. Khan and Kaif worked together in hit movies "Ek Tha Tiger," "Partner" and "Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya." The 50-year-old Khan is currently busy shooting for his next "Tubelight" opposite Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. Kaif, on the other, will be next seen in "Jagga Jasoos" opposite her former boyfriend and actor Ranbir Kapoor.
