Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort's "Insurgent" co-star Lawrence Kao is set to appear in "2 Broke Girls" Season 5 episode 10, which will air on CBS on Feb. 3. The Taiwanese-American actor will play a hipster.
"2 Broke Girls" Season 5 episode 10 is directed by Anthony Joseph Rich. The director has directed several episodes of TV series, including "Mom," "Dr. Ken," "The Big Bang Theory," "Young & Hungry" and "The McCarthys," among others.
Joining Kao in "2 Broke Girls" Season 5 episode 10 are "Deadbeat" alum Meryl Hathaway as Rachael and "Madden Girl" alum David Namminga as Eugene. "Black Box" alum Casey O'Keefe will be in the episode, as well.
"2 Broke Girls" Season 5 premiered on Nov. 12, 2015 with an episode titled "And the Wrecking Ball." In the episode, the diner crew joined Max Black (Kat Dennings) and Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs) to rally when the city sought to demolish the diner and cupcake window to give way to an I-MAX theater set to be built.
With Dennings as Max Black and Behr as Caroling Channing, the main cast of "2 Broke Girls" Season 5 also includes Garrett Morris as Earl, Jonathan Kite as Vanko Oleg Golishevsky, Jennifer Coolidge as Sophie Kachinsky and Chinese-American actor Matthew Moy as Han Lee.
Before playing a hipster in "2 Broke Girls" Season 5 episode 10, Kao played Van Nguyen in "The Originals" Season 3. He appeared in one episode of "Murder in the First" Season 2, as well.
After starring in "Insurgent" with Woodley and Elgort, Kao starred in the sci-fi horror drama "Circle" and in the comedy film "I Hate You," which was released on New Year's Day.
Meanwhile, Woodley was recently spotted on the set of the new HBO series titled "Big Little Lies." The "Insurgent" actress was with Reese Witherspoon while talking to Laura Dern, Just Jared reported.
Woodley, Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman will play mothers of kindergartners in "Big Little Lies," according to Deadline. The upcoming HBO series will also star Ivy George, Kathryn Newton, Darby Camp, Chloe Coleman, Cameron Crovetti and P.J. Byrne, among others.
