This is the best night ever for K-pop stars as K-pop genre had the grandest night at the 2015 Weibo Night Awards.
It was an annual show that acclaimed top celebrities most talked about on China's largest social network site, Sina Weibo. The event was held in Jan. 7 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing.
The 2015 Weibo Night Awards acknowledged K-pop acts like 2PM, JYP, Beast and a whole lot more. BEAST was declared the big winner with the Asia Popularity Award. It meant that the group was very popular among Chinese-speaking communities anywhere in the world.
Other K-pop stars that received awards included Park Jin Young and 2PM's Nichkhun.
Awarded as the "Most Influential Producer of the Year" was JYP while "Male God of the Year" was awarded to Nichkhun.
Nichkhun said in his award speech that he would like to thank all his avid fans around the world for their love and support. He wished everyone that he will make them really proud and greeted a Happy new year.
Meanwhile, Song Ji Hyo, Gary and Lee Kwangson of "Running Man" also garnered awards.
Receiving praises as the 2015 Weibo King was former EXO member Kris or Wu Yi Fan, while heralded as a Strong New Actor.
BEAST was the only K-pop act invited to perform during the ceremony; hence they performed "YeY" and "Good Luck."
At the largest music website in China, Yinyetai, the group's 2015 singles "YeY" and "Gotto Go to Work" topped the viral chart.
China has made Sina Weibo the most popular social media site around the world among Chinese speaking individuals.
Around 300 renowned Chinese individuals from fashion, business and entertainment joined the said event, including actor Stephen Chow, actress Fan Bingbing, and Jack Ma, Alibaba's Group executive chairman.
This was the best 2015 Weibo Night Awards ever publicized, according to viewers.
