According to The Hollywood Reporter, Priyanka Chopra is being considered for the role of the villain in the "Baywatch" movie. However, the filming of "Quantico" is keeping the actress busy. If Priyanka Chopra agrees to take on the role, she will be joining the cast that includes "Fast and Furious" actor Dwayne Johnson and "We are Your Friends" actor Zac Efron.
Based on popular 1990's TV show with the same name, the "Baywatch" movie revolves around the efforts of "a leader of an elite group of lifeguards," played by Dwayne Johnson, to protect the bay. In time of threat, he is compelled to take the assistance of a former Olympian, portrayed by Zac Efron.
Recently, "San Andreas" actress and Dwayne Johnson's co-star Alexandra Daddario was signed to play the role of Nicole Eggert's character Summer. As for Pamela Anderson's beloved character C.J. Parker, she will be portrayed by model Kelly Rohrbach.
In additional details, the "Baywatch" movie will be helmed by Seth Gordan and produced by Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman alongside Dwayne Johnson's production house Seven Bucks Production. Michael Berk, Gregory Bonann and Douglas Schwartz will be joining the team of producers too. Damion Shannon and Mark Swift are penning down the script for the highly anticipated movie.
While it is too early to expect any plot details, Entertainment Weekly reveals that the movie makers are planning to take a "comedic route" with the movie. Fans must note that the report lacks comments from the associated persons. Confirmation from the studio is expected soon.
