Google has made the most dramatic change to their logo since 1999 and have replaced their signature serif font with a new typeface called Product Sans.

Google is going to hold an event in San Francisco on October 4 for the unveiling of its newest products, hardware and probably some upgrades to its existent gadgets and devices. An invitation was sent containing the phrase "Ok Google, add to calendar."

Google's product unveiling may pave the way for a higher-resolution upgrade to its Chromecast media streaming device as well as new VR hardware. It was reported that Google might dispose of the Nexus brand for its phones and could be replaced by "madebygoogle", a hashtag tweeted by the web company.

The invitation sent by Google only confirmed the date and place of the event but not what will be showcased in the event itself. Regardless, the video that lasts 30 seconds without a doubt signifies a phone, with Google's recognizable search box transforming into a figure of a smartphone, The Verge reported.

Moreover, being defined as a search engine, the video clip suggests the search is now at home on a smartphone. It also signals that the company cites its forthcoming device as a Google search hardware version refocusing on its hardware efforts.

Reports say that during the event there will be two new HTC smartphones that will be unveiled, having sizes of 5-inch and 5.5-inches model. These smartphones according to rumors will be called Pixel X and Pixel XL and might even feature an all-metal design. The manufactured Nexus 6P last year was made of metal but not the 5.2-inch LG 6X which was made with plastic. Additionally, the new handsets will be equipped with Android Nougat's special version rather than sticking to the stock version of the OS.

Android Police's David Ruddock wrote: 'We do not have pricing information. At this time, it is unknown to us when Google decided to shift its in-house smartphone brand from Nexus to Pixel or why (though speculation will likely run wild)."

In a previous report, the two new smartphones have a codename. The 5-inch Pixel was named Sailfish while the 5.5-inch Pixel XL was named Marlin. Additionally, Google is anticipated to showcase its Google Home smart speaker which was launched at I/O in May and a viewer device called "DayDream View", Mail Online reported.

At the end of the day, Google has so much to talk about its fall event and its new products. The event begins on October 4 at 9 AM at its San Francisco headquarter.
