"Supernatural" has added Kadeem Hardison to its growing Season 12 guest cast.
Hardison will be introduced in "Supernatural" Season 12 as Russell Lemons, a music industry mogul who share a history with Crowley, Entertainment Weekly has learned. He also has major plans for Lucifer's vessel, Vince Vicente. In the new installment, Lemons will play a role in Crowley's quest to take back his throne.
Hardison's recent TV credits include "A Different World," "Girlfriends" and "House." Currently, he stars as a secret agent dad on Disney Channel's "K.C. Undercover." He joins previously announced guest stars Rick Springfield as Lucifer's vessel and Kara Royster as a fellow hunter in "Supernatural" Season 12.
In addition to tracking down Lucifer, "Supernatural" will also focus more on Castiel's storyline in Season 12. Executive producer Andrew Dabb has shared in a report from TV Line that the new season will dig a few stories from the angel's past and his personal relationship with Sam and Dean. What's more, Dabb asked viewers to expect that Castiel will form a bond with Mary Winchester.
"He and Mary have a connection," the showrunner said.
"It's not a romantic one, but they have a lot in common. They're both strangers in a strange land, in a way."
"Supernatural" follows the story of the Winchesters brothers, Sam and Dean who are on a mission to take down supernatural threats. The series, which hails from executive producers Jeremy Carver and Phil Sgriccia, stars Jared Padelecki, Jensen Ackles, Mark Sheppard and Misha Collins.
"Supernatural" Season 12 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9PM on the CW.
