According to Koogle TV, CJ E&M confirmed the news on Dec. 22, 2015. The said entertainment and media Contents Company will be remaking the CBS' critically acclaimed show. "We are confirmed to produce a remake of American CBS drama 'The Good Wife,'" it was said in a statement.

The K-drama version of the Hollywood TV show will reportedly be released on local cable channel tvN. It won't be too long before fans in Korea will get to see inspirational show as the broadcasters have promised to air it sometime in 2016.

It is reported that the reason why the producer Cho Moon Ju has decided to bring it to the Korean audience is because of the protagonist's mental growth and emotional strength.

The show will be directed by Lee Jung Hyo. The director is noted for his works such as "I Need Romance 2012," "Cruel City" and "Auction House." Meanwhile, the script will be penned down by Hang Sung Woon (Spy).

As for the cast and the title, it is yet to be decided that who will take the role of the leading star. However, rumours swirling around suggest that South Korean actress Jeon Do-yeon is being eyed for the role. According to Korea Joongang Daily, the winner of Cannes Film Festival 2007 award for the best actress is considering the role and studying the script.

For those unfamiliar, "The Good Wife" features Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick. The television series has won five Emmy awards and so has the actress for her role in the show.

It is a tale of Alicia Florrick, who has been a stay-at-home mother for 13 years. She is forced to get back to her old job as her husband is faced with jail time in the wake of sex and political scandals.
