South Korean artist of the boy group ASTRO Cha Eun Woo was chosen as one of the new hosts of MBC’s variety program “Show! Music Core”.

Cha was chosen to represent the show after MC Kim Min Jae decided to leave the program, Soompi reported. Aside from the Kpop star, actress Lee Soo Min was also chosen as the new host of “Show! Music Core.”

The show has currently three hosts in total, including resident MC Kim Sae Ron. Cha’s appearance in the show will be aired on October 1.

“Show! Music Core” features latest and popular stars in the entertainment industry. It is aired live every Saturday at 3:50 PM on MBC.

Meanwhile, Cha has been recently one of the subjects in social media sites after some of his images at Sungkyunkwan University, wherein he is studying Performing Arts, surfaced online. According to All Kpop, the images were posted by the students from the institution who had an actual encounter with the star.

In one of the photos, Cha was surrounded by several students as he signs their paper for an autograph. After the online community feasted his images, the artist was labeled as the country’s new “campus hottie”.

Cha rose to fame after joining the boy group ASTRO alongside Jinjin, MJ, Moonbin, Rocky, and Sanha in 2015 under the management of the talent agency and film and drama production company Fantagio. The band released their first mini-album “Spring Up” this year followed by “Summer Vibes” in July.
