"Inglourious Basterds" actor Brad Pitt and "The Dark Knight Rises" star Marion Cotillard are falling for each other in the new trailer for World War II drama "Allied." This trailer follows a first 60-second spot released in August.
The opening part of the "Allied" trailer shows Pitt and Cotillard gunning down Nazis at a banquet, followed by the duo developing real love. Pitt said "Come with me to London to be my wife." She responded with "I love you with all my heart."
According to Variety, Pitt plays as a U.S. intelligence officer Max Vatan in "Allied." He encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) during a mission behind enemy lines in Casablanca in 1942 to kill a German ambassador. They are forced into a sham marriage.
The final scene in the "Allied" trailer displays the couple being confronted in London by their past secrets. The screenplay is based on a true story that Steven Knight wrote. Other cast members include Lizzy Caplan, Matthew Goode, Raffey Cassidy, Charlotte Hope, and Jared Harris.
Paramount released the trailer on the same day that Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt. There was speculation surfaced about Pitt's relationship with co-star Cotillard, as Entertainment Weekly reported. However, Brangelina's shocking split has nothing to do with Cotillard.
Cotillard made a statement via Instagram to respond to the intense scrutiny. She issued a firm denial in both French and English. She even officially confirmed that she is currently pregnant with her second child to her partner, French actor and director Guillaume Canet. Their first child Marcel was born in 2011.
"Allied" is set to be released in theaters on Nov. 23. Robert Zemeckis is the director and also produce with Graham King. Knight, Patrick McCormick, Jack Rapke, and Denis O'Sullivan are the executive producers.
