"American Horror Story" Season 6, also known as "Roanoke," has been reported to have a direct connection to Season 4's Freak Show.

In a report from Entertainment Weekly, creator/showrunner Ryan Murphy has revealed that an upcoming episode will later reveal that "American Horror Story" Season 6 has ties to the character of Dandy Mott. The character, played by Finn Wittrock, is an immature psychopath introduced as a villain on Freak Show. As to how the new installment will link the two seasons, Murphy said that viewers will learn about the origin story of Mott's family.

"We explain how the Motts began which is funny," the showrunner teased.

In addition to the flashback, Murphy further revealed that viewers may also expect to see familiar faces on "American Horror Story" Season 6.

"Many, many, many that you have not seen in years that you have wanted to see."

Details on the storyline of "American Horror Story" Season 6 has been tightly kept under wraps by the show's producers. It was not until the official season premiere that viewers learned its latest theme, Roanoke - which follows a married couple who moved to rural North Carolina for a fresh start. Its season premiere opened with a documentary-style format featuring character interviews retelling their horrific experiences inside on what appears to be a haunted house.

Moving forward, "American Horror Story" Season 6 will continue to shock its loyal fanbase. Co-creators Brad Falchuk and Murphy recently revealed to the publication that a huge plot twist is coming up, adding that the revelation will slightly confuse viewers at first.

"You'll see starting in episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you're watching is not what you're watching," Murphy said.

"Even though the subject matter has gotten out, it's irrelevant because nobody gets what we're doing," adds Falchuk. "No matter what you think it is, it's not that. Then, episode 6 comes and you're like, 'Wait! What happened?' It's a hat on a hat on a hat on a hat that we've had to protect."

"American Horror Story" Season 6 airs every Wednesday at 10PM on FX.
