Even if you have already tried virtual reality, no one is prepared for what's coming over the next month. Before Thanksgiving Day, the three major VR platforms - Google, Oculus and Sony are expected to launch along with an explosive announcement and retail roll-outs.

This coming Oct. 4, Google will hold a press event where they might debut a reference VR headset for its Daydream platform, UploadVR reported. Adding that manufacturers have been developing phones compatible with their new Daydream platform.

Following Google's event, Oculus will kick off its third developer conference. Last year, on the same event, the company developed partnership with top tier applications like "Minecraft," "Netflix," and many more to Oculus-compatible headsets.

The company also debuted its jaw-dropping app "Oculus Medium," that might be used to model objects which could be animated for a movie or printed out in 3D. "Oculus Medium," a sculting app is in the same category with Google's "Tilt Brush," which is more like a sketching software.

A week after Oculus' conference, Sony is set to launch its PlayStation VR peripheral. The VR add-on is much cheaper than the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift but still delivers a true VR experience, Geek reported.

Gamers spend a lot of hours in playing their favorite video game so being able to use a comfortable VR headset for a long time is essential. According to reviews, Oculus Rift is comfortable to use, however, it have a noticeable weight to it compared to the PlayStation VR which is extremely light.

When it comes to pricing, PlayStation VR is an advantage compared to its competitors since it is priced $399.99, when it launch. In order to use the PlayStation VR, the gamer must have a PlayStation 4 which is still a lot cheaper than using the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, which will require a very expensive PC capable of rendering VR graphics.

Meanwhile, catch the preview on PlayStation VR below:
