"Dead or Alive Xtreme 3" has been getting their added content for a while. Now, in its latest update, the "Dead or Alive" spinoff collaborates with the anime "Keijo!!!!!!!! (Hip Whip Girl)," along with new swimsuits.
According to Anime News Network, this update for "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3" (DOAX 3) includes a new sport that was found in the aforementioned anime and manga. It is an aquatic sumo-like sport where the lovely female characters stand on a circular platform and try to knock each other off into the pool using their "assets." With the anime having the swimmer theme as well, the update will include new swimsuit for the ladies and, being a "DOAX 3" game, they can tear up and explode.
The DLC was released on Thursday. Additionally, a VR version of "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3" will be set for launch on Oct. 13.
While the DLC is completely free for players to enjoy, the downside is it's exclusively for Japan and Asia for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita at the moment, as stated by Dualshockers. The game is known as "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Venus" in the PS Vita, while the PlayStation 4 has the label "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Fortune." Unfortunately, it is still unclear whether the game will be released in the West given to the poor reception (and strong reactions) to how female characters are portrayed in video games.
The "Keijo!!!!!!!!" anime will be released in October on Tokyo MX and BS11.
